WHERE'S DA BLOG!!!

Hello again to all our blogger family and friends from your ole blogger Juan!  Yep that's right, I know how time flies, and it seems like you just finished reading our last blog (but ya know what) it's been a year, and ain't we had fun!

Now after all these years of bloggin I wasn't sure I would continue with another episode of our travels in 2013, but it seems from the calls we've been receiving and messages being sent, the question of the day seems to be " where's da blog"?  (We have only been on the road two weeks folks!) All I can say is life's a beach...So here I am faced with trying to relax and read a book or appease my followers and blog about everything under the sun (pun intended).  As you can tell by now, after you've opened this blog link and read so far, I've granted your wishes and will continue letting you all know about life on the road and the perils of Pauline...or Nancy.  Like it or not if I''m writin - your readin!
We left the white mitten March 6 and headed to Destin, Florida.  We spent the first night in our favorite campground (the Alabama interstate welcome center) and made it to Henderson Beach State Park in Destin on Mar.7.  This is a very nice location with a great camping facility and walking distance to the beach.  While there we did the usual; a lot of biking and a lot of beach walking.  We did get in a nice beach walk that took us 7 miles one day!  I tried to get Nancy to

lick my wounds after the 7 miles, but she can be so darn stubborn at times and adamantly said No!  Doesn't sound like Nancy does it?  Oh well.
The one thing you can say about Florida - it is home to a number of military bases both Naval and Air Force.  Eglin AFB in Destin is the largest Air Force Base in the world!  The planes can be seen everyday over the Gulf along with incoming choppers.  ("How I love the smell of napalm in the morning")  We stayed in Destin for 7 nights and then headed west to Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, LA. One of our old favorites -NOLA....thats New Orleans Louisiana to all you northern folk...
Now we're only here in New Orleans for 7 nights and as you'd expect we spent our share of time in the French Quarter.  I won't go into alot of details about Nancy and her beads but she does have quite a few hanging in the  camper as usual.... We had some great meals while in town and
enjoyed the campground with biking and reading.  Today Mar. 20th we visited the Civil War Museum and then had lunch in the Quarter at Acme's Oyster House.  Wow, what a great place to eat!  A must do if your in NOLA!  Tomorrow we leave  Westwego, LA and are heading to Galveston Island, Texas as our next stop.
           West-We-Go!

And that's all I'm going to say about that!
Lieutenant Dan..
