HAMMER TIME!

Hello again! As you can see, I continue to get hammered to get these blogs out, and these guys show no sympathy so excuse me for laying down on the job. We've been on the move, but the blog hasn't so it's time for me to get moving on that.
We left Charleston, NC and settled in St. Augustine, Florida and finally shed the long pants. Now I'd be pulling your leg a little if I told you we went swimming every day after arriving because it was so hot, but...we still needed to get further south to have a continuous heat wave every day. We were still heading in the right direction...south!
St Augustine is a very neat place to hang out for a few days, lots to see and do and of course eat and drink.. We found a favorite restaurant called "Harry's." Nice atmosphere, seating outside, entertainment and good shrimp!
The beaches here are very nice, and if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle you can drive on the beach for about 10+ miles (which we did).
But we were only in town for 3 days and had to load up the vehicle and keep moving.
We layed out our maps, cleaned our room, made our bed and continued our trek further south.
Our next stop was Hobe Sound which is located just north of Jupiter/West Palm Beach. We stayed in Johnathan Dickenson State Park.
This is a great place to bike with numerous trails and a great state park. The rv sites were large
and included full hookups.
Focus or click on the picture of the sign to "Please Keep Off The Fence"....come-on really? Do they really need that sign? By the way this was the bike trail so keep a leg up when passing by! It won't be me pulling your leg this time... The gator was only about 8 feet from the trail, and that gator was not the blow up kind with handles!
While here we visited our old neighbors, Bryan and Linda, who recently moved to Stuart, Florida. We lived across the street from one another in 1973. Whew, where did the time go?
We did go to Jupiter Island and spent time on the beach. Waited around for Tiger, never did see Celine, so we left. We spent 7 nights in the area and again packed up and headed south.
This is the south where you leave the 60's and 70's behind, and welcome to the
80's! Now this is what we're talking
about with you short fans....
We must say that when we head down to Floridian country, we find that the KEY to our success is the one found in the WEST....Where else can you pet a 6 toed cat or be Sloppy at Joe's or Key Limed with a pie?
Wish we could share it with you in person....but hey...you got the blog right? So keep reading it and feel the warmth.....

The photos look great. You're getting better at taking them. Also loving the sass, as always. Holy cow about that crocodile!
