Well, we made it back from Mexico about a week ago and had the usual great time with our gang of friends. The weather was just Mexico - GREAT! Lots of Margarita's, cervasa's and lazy river time at the resort. Of course, we always have great fun-filled adventures in Mexico ever year and this year was no exception... except for one of us. You see, there always has to be one that leads, especially into unknown territory so as to blaze the paths for others to follow if the need should occur so they will feel safe and secure. This year's Lewis and Clark award goes to me, (Juan) for lighting the path to the Dentista's office to show to others that when you need a root canal YOU NEED A ROOT CANAL...EVEN IN MEXICO! Now that's a friend...Yes it's true and you may wonder why I would risk that in a small Mexican town? It's called PAIN and after two days it became a necessity of life to venture into the unknown even if it took me two days back and forth to the Dentista to have Nancy make me do it or else! The Dentista spoke nohabla English. Of course, my Spanish vocabulary of Si put her to work as she tapped on my bad tooth. Two hours later and $100.00 less I had my 3 x-rays and the root of the problem was gone. After trips to the local town parmacia for medications I was back in business, and I even gave my little Dentista a hug after she told me I could drink Cervasa's that evening BUT....in moderation. Just goes to show, you never know where your travels may take you...Oh, I should point out that this little experience was not in my bucket list!
